HOUSEKEEPING JOBS

Housekeeping.

Order that guests can feel.

City hotel, aparthotel or coastal hotel: in housekeeping, you make sure every room is ready when new guests check in. You make beds, change towels, dust, vacuum and replenish supplies – in line with the hotel’s standards.

THIS AWAITS YOU

Typical tasks in housekeeping.

You will find out which rooms and tasks are on the schedule during the hotel induction. The most important procedures are repeated – after a few rooms, you’ll have the hang of them.

1

DEPARTURE ROOM

Prepare rooms for new guests

After check-out, you prepare the room completely for the next guests: change the beds, clean, restock and check everything.

2

STAY ROOM

Freshen up the room in between

For guests staying longer, you make the beds, change towels on request and keep things tidy – without touching personal belongings.

3

LAUNDRY

Change and sort laundry

You strip the bed linen and towels, sort them for the laundry and stock your trolley with fresh linen.

4

CLEANING

Dusting and vacuuming

Surfaces, cupboards and floors: You clean according to a checklist so that every room looks equally good.

5

REFILLING

Replenish consumable supplies

Soap, shampoo, toilet paper, coffee or water: you replenish whatever is missing and keep your trolley stocked.

6

REPORT

Report damage and hand in lost property

Is the tap dripping, or is there a forgotten charging cable in the cupboard? You pass it on to the technical team or reception.

In short: after a brief induction, you will be given your own area – alone or in pairs. At the end of the shift, your rooms will be ready for new guests.

Particularly suitable for you if …

you prefer working in the mornings

Most shifts start in the morning. In the afternoon or evening, you will have time again for university, family or friends.

you enjoy working independently

You get your rooms and organise the work yourself. No stage, no obligation to make small talk.

you like order and details

Smooth sheets, straight towels, nothing forgotten: it makes you happy when everything is just right in the end.

you enjoy being active

Bending, lifting, walking: housekeeping is physical work – and can replace many a workout.

NO TRAINING REQUIRED.

What you should bring with you.

You do not need any formal training. What matters is care and reliability – the team will show you the house standards during your induction.

Diligence

You work thoroughly and follow a checklist, even when things need to be done quickly.

Reliability

The rooms must be ready by check-in. You arrive on time and stay on top of things.

Good condition

You are on the move for many hours, pushing the trolley, bending down and carrying laundry.

German, English is also welcome

You communicate well in German with the team and guests. English is a plus.

Appropriate clothing

You will often be provided with a shirt; wear clean, plain jeans and sturdy shoes with it. Your deployment information will specify exactly what is required.

Trust is part of it: You work in guest rooms. Guests’ personal belongings are left untouched, lost property is handed in at reception – and what you see in the room stays there.

Housekeeping follows the rhythm of check-out and check-in. So that you know what to expect, here are the key details about times, work locations and the team.
