GELD IST VERTRAUENSSACHE

Your Money.

No strings attached.

How much, when, and how secure – the three questions that matter before every shift. Here we answer them in full: with system rules instead of promises, a real sample payslip, and a planner for your earnings goal.

per hour. At least. Always.
16 IS OUR LOWEST NUMBER.

No shift starts below 16 euros. The system simply doesn't allow it.

This is not an advertising claim, but a technical block: companies simply cannot create shifts with lower pay – in any model, not even in the self-service pool. By comparison: The legal minimum wage is €13.90 in 2026. With us, you will therefore receive more than the law requires from your very first shift – from 2027, we will raise the threshold to €17.

Why do we do this? Because fair pay is the reason our shifts are covered when others cancel. Good for you, good for the companies – and that is precisely why it is non-negotiable for anyone.

GUARANTEED

Staff EIns Payout

Staff Eins invoices and pays out – guaranteed and on time, even if the company has not yet paid. We bear the risk of default, not you. Applies to all shifts with Full Service, Flex and Partner.

LABELLED

Direct payment by the company

For some pool shifts, the company organises payment itself – you will also see this clearly indicated before you accept. Our tip from 90,000 shifts: most jobbers prefer the guaranteed option, and companies know this too.

The conclusion is simple: you always decide with full transparency. And wherever Staff Eins pays out, your money is as safe as a system rule.

SOME LAYERS CARRY THE LIGHTNING.

Instant pay: work today, in your account tomorrow.

Shifts with the lightning symbol pay your wages on the next working day – not in weeks, not at the end of the month. Our payroll department makes the transfer directly after your confirmed shift. 'Blitzgehalt' is a protected term of Staff Eins, and this feature is only available here.

Where can you find Lightning shifts? Mostly in short-notice and particularly sought-after jobs – exactly where quick money is most valuable. Simply keep an eye out for the lightning bolt in the app.

MINI-JOB

PAYOUT

What lands in your account: €123.39 from €128 gross – for Blitz shifts, as soon as the next working day.

EVERY ITEM IS SELF-EXPLANATORY.

How to read your statement.

Gross, net, deductions – it sounds complicated, but it isn’t once someone shows you. On the left, you can see an example payslip: tap on an item and it will be explained to you in simple terms. What is pension insurance? Why is a mini-job almost free of deductions? It’s all included.

A tangible example: 8 hours of Saturday work at 16 euros amounts to 128 euros gross. In a mini-job, around 123 euros of that ends up with you – only the small employee contribution to the pension is deducted, and you can even avoid that by applying for an exemption. The details will be explained to you by the Minijob-Zentrale – or our planner below.

AT NIGHT AND ON SUNDAYS, IT CAN BE MORE.

Pay rises: when there’s more in it – and why they’re often tax-free.

Many companies voluntarily pay supplements for night, Sunday and public holiday shifts, or label them as bonus shifts with an extra €3 per hour. The good thing is that genuine supplements for night, Sunday and public holiday work can be completely tax-free for you under German tax law.

25 %

Night Shifts

Supplements of up to 25 per cent of the basic wage are tax-free (between midnight and 4 a.m., even up to 40 per cent).

50 %

Sunday Shifts

Supplements of up to 50 per cent of the basic wage tax-free – the classic in the hospitality and events sector.

125 %

Work on public holidays

Tax-free bonuses of up to 125 per cent, and even up to 150 per cent at Christmas and on 1 May.

Important for your expectations: Supplements are not mandatory for the business at Staff Eins – but if they are paid, you will see them in the shift before accepting it. The legal basis for the tax exemption is Section 3b of the German Income Tax Act (EStG)This is information, not tax advice – in special cases, the tax office or a tax adviser can help you further.

How many layers do you need to achieve your goal?

Do you want to earn an extra €300 a month? Or get the most out of a mini-job without exceeding the €603 limit? The planner converts your target into shifts to suit your type of employment – and warns you before you get close to a limit.

A foretaste: €603 divided by an hourly wage of €16 comes to around 37 hours a month – that is about five Saturday shifts. Sounds manageable? It is.

Mini-job Best Choice Possible Does not fit

You remain below the limit of 603 Euros. No social security contributions are deducted from your earnings – here, gross is practically net. More than 37 hours per month are not possible.

Possible, but it will be tight: you are very close to the limit of 603 Euro. One more shift a month, and the mini-job tips over.

Your goal lies above 603 Euros per month. You cannot earn more in a mini-job.

Short-term employment Best Choice Possible Does not fit

There is no earnings limit here, only a time limit: 70 Working days in the calendar year. At 3 Shifts per month, that is enough for around 12 months.

Bei diesem Pensum sind die 70 Arbeitstage schon nach gut einem Monat aufgebraucht. Für einen kurzen Einsatz passt es, für länger nicht.

This form is intended for time-limited assignments, not for regular work month after month.

Working student (female or male) Best Choice Possible Does not fit

As an enrolled student, you pay significantly lower contributions here than in a regular job. Your workload is around 4 hours per week, permitted are 20 during the lecture period.

That would be around 24 hours per week – more than the 20, which are permitted during term time. During the semester break, you may work more.

This form is only available for as long as you are enrolled at a higher education institution.

Employment with social insurance Best Choice Possible Does not fit

Over 603 euro, the job is processed through social insurance as normal. Up to 2.000 your contributions are reduced, so more remains than you might think.

Over 2.000 euros, you pay the full social security contributions. We will calculate what you receive at the end of the month during the discussion.

Only pays off over 603 Euro – below that you are better off with a mini-job..
