Shopping centre, supermarket, trade fair or festival: in promotional work, you present products and services, hand out samples and engage people in conversation. You are the face of a brand – for a few hours or an entire promotional weekend.
Which brand you represent and what needs to be done at the booth will be set out beforehand in the shift briefing. This means you only agree to promotions you can genuinely support.

2

You help set up the booth, keep it tidy, replenish materials, and dismantle it again at the end.
3

Using the information from your briefing, you explain benefits, answer questions and show how something works.
4

Supporting campaigns
Competitions, prize wheels, photo activities: you make sure everything runs smoothly and everyone has fun.

You welcome visitors, distribute information materials and direct interested parties to the specialists at the stand.

REPORTING
Report briefly
After the activity, you record how many samples were sent out and what the response was like – usually via a short form.
In short: promotion is communication. You do not need sales talent, just a willingness to approach people in a friendly manner.
Particularly suitable for you if …
you enjoy approaching people
A smile, a brief sentence, a sample: you find it easy to approach strangers.
if you want to work flexibly
Promotional activities are one-off dates. You commit if they fit into your week.
you like variety
Coffee in the supermarket today, energy drinks at the festival tomorrow: every campaign is different.
you quickly familiarise yourself
Before every action, you learn the most important things about the product and brand – and pass them on.
NO TRAINING REQUIRED.
What you should bring with you.
You do not need any formal training. What matters is an open manner and a willingness to familiarise yourself briefly with the product beforehand.
Open, friendly manner
You actively approach people and do not take a “No, thank you” personally.
Reliability
The activation starts at a fixed time. Be at the stand on time – the brand is relying on you.
Fancy a quick learning session?
You read the briefing beforehand and can answer the most important questions about the product.
Decent German, English a plus
You explain clearly and understandably. English helps you with an international audience.
Appropriate clothing
The brand often provides a shirt; wear dark jeans and clean shoes with it. Your assignment information will specify exactly what is required.
Alcohol is subject to youth protection laws: Beer, wine and sparkling wine may only be sampled from the age of 16, and spirits from the age of 18. If in doubt, ask to see their ID.

Promotion takes place wherever there are lots of people. So that you know what to expect, here are the key details about times, locations and the team.

Many assignments take place during shop opening hours, often on Fridays and Saturdays. You can see the start time and duration before accepting.
